The Plainsboro Historical Society has 2 books for sale. Both are fund raisers.

The first one is the Arcadia photo book-it has 200+ photos-and describes the history of Plainsboro in a photo format. Included are chapters about transportation, family farms, organizations, research, etc. It is a well written book authored by Bill Hart, with major contributions by Rudy Wellnitz, Matt Hafenmaier and Robert Yuell. The cost is $20.

The other book is the definitive history of Walker-Gordon Laboratory Co. They came to Plainsboro in 1897 to produce the cleanest and best milk possible. The book includes text and many photographs that describe the farm in its' many aspects. They went out of the dairy business in 1971, but continue to be a crop farmer, land developer and raise beef cattle. The original "home" farm is now the Walker Gordon Farms housing development. The book is being sold for $30, discounted from $40 when originally published. It is authored by Ed Tindall and Stanton Clark, sons of Walker-Gordon workers.
