Due to severe teenage acne, I ended up getting a large number of acne scars that seriously ruined my appearance. I desperately wanted to get rid of these scars and improve my appearance, but finding good information on ways to get rid of acne scars without turning to surgery was far and few between.
I turned to the experts at Pathclinic.org, seasoned experts on acne scar removal. They led me to believe that my acne scars could be reduced with simple over the counter products. It seems like this strategy has worked for me as now my skin looks great and my scars are hardly noticeable.
The first step I took was using silicone gels. These gels are just clear liquid gels that dry over the scar. They really helped smooth out my scar just like Pathclinic.org said they would. Once my car was flattened, I had one problem: it was still pretty dark. That is where a skin lightening cream came in and I followed their exact instructions and now I look great.
Things that did not work well for me include microdermabrasion. This was supposed to be used to scrape my skin so that it would heal better, but I do not think it was intense enough to cause any real results. In fact I do not think I really got anything out of it at all which was really unfortunate given how much time and effort I ended up putting into this procedure. I even bought the little kit to use for self use so I could use it on myself.
